Student Health Center and Insurance
UP students have access to comprehensive primary care services on campus! The Student Health Center (SHC) provides care for illnesses, injuries, and some chronic health conditions. Clinicians can write prescriptions, order imaging, and provide referrals as needed. The SHC bills health insurance for visits the same way most primary care and urgent care clinics do. PLEASE NOTE: students are automatically enrolled in the PacificSource Health Plan; if your student has their own insurance, please read important information below:

What to Bring, What Not to Bring to Campus
The Office of Residence Life has created a comprehensive list of items to bring, and a reminder of what to leave at home. Use these lists as guidelines for the best ways to make the most of a tiny living space. Packing in boxes that can be flattened are a great idea; larger suitcases can be stored in the residence hall trunk rooms, under beds, or on top of movable wardrobe units.
