Changes to Messenger Service - Update

Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) has new information to share about the Changes to Messenger Service. As a reminder, we are phasing out our in-house Messenger service. The last day to submit a Messenger request is 07/07/2023.

IPPS has onboarded Apollo Couriers as a new agreement supplier in the courier services space to help ease the transition for campus clients. We conducted a formal RFQ process to find and vet a qualified courier supplier that is best positioned to maintain continuity of service to the campus community. While you have a choice of courier providers, IPPS recommends using Apollo for all your messenger needs. Apollo has over 35 years in the courier space and over 20 years supporting UC Irvine, UC Los Angeles, and hospitals and research institutions in Southern California. Apollo offers courier services seven days a week for all UC San Diego locations county-wide. Our Logistics team is working closely with Apollo to ensure their staff retains a thorough knowledge of UC San Diego routes as we transition away from our in-house Messenger operations. 

For your convenience, the Messenger Services Blink page has been updated with information and guidance about Apollo Couriers. Including account setup, payment options, and creating a PO in Oracle.
