BE CONNECTED SPOTLIGHT
While every month is 'Military Appreciation Month' at Stony Brook's Office of Military and Veteran Student Services, November is the official month for appreciating student veterans on SBU's campus. The Military Services office is partnering with University Libraries, Shop Red West, SBU Eats, Student Accessibility Support Center and others to deliver military-centric programming and promotions.

Highlights include a virtual film discussion on a combat veteran's return from Afghanistan (hosted by University Libraries), 50% off apparel and merchandise at Shop Red West on Veterans Day for students with an SBU Veteran ID card, and a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner in the Veterans Lounge on November 26.

The Office of Military and Veteran Student Services also looks forward to hosting America's Vet Dogs' service pups in training and volunteering at the Long Island State Veterans Home's annual "Vet Mart" boutique
