Student Billing Is Changing July 23 |
Starting July 23, students will manage billing, payments, refunds, and payment plans through the Bursar card in Experience.
To support the transition, online payment services will be unavailable from 3:00 p.m. on July 21 through July 22. Students who need to make a payment before the new system launches should do so by July 21. Online payments will resume July 23.
If students contact your office with questions about the new billing process, please direct them to the Office of the Bursar at 1-800-891-4596.

Key Updates:
Campus Facilities Systems Are Modernizing:
The university is implementing Planon, a new workplace management system that will support campus work order requests, space management, and facilities operations. Over time, Planon will replace several SAP-based facilities functions as part of the university's broader modernization efforts. Embracing the Possibilities |
Each month, we’re highlighting how Encompass will make everyday tasks easier.
Beginning July 23, students may enroll in a payment plan through the Bursar card in Experience. Payment plans allow eligible balances to be paid over three installments during the semester.

Whether you're initiating a task or following up on the complete subsequent business process, Workday Help puts answers in one place, making it faster to find the guidance you need.

Make the most of Workday through these tips related to FAQs.
Finding Payslips (Formerly Pay Stubs) in Workday |
In Workday, pay stubs are called Payslips. The quickest way to find them is to enter Payslip in the search bar and select the My Payslips report. You can also access Payslips by selecting View Profile, navigating to the Pay tab, and selecting Payslips.
Managing Notifications in Workday |
Notifications in Workday are only available for 30 days. After that period, you can review past notifications using the View and Maintain Notifications report.
To access the report, search for View and Maintain Notifications via the search bar, enter the date range you would like to review, and select both Read Notifications and Unread Notifications. The report will then display notifications that match your selected criteria.
Set Goals Now for Future Staff Performance Evaluations |
Goals must be entered at least 30 days before an evaluation period begins to appear on that evaluation.
-
Provost and Chancellor Divisions: Enter goals now if they were not added during the recent cycle.

What is the Foundation Data Model (FDM) for Workday Finance?
The FDM is Workday's multidimensional structure that provides the framework used across Human Resources (HCM), Payroll, Finance, and Supply Chain to process transactions and support reporting.
Worktags (keywords) are assigned to transactions to provide flexibility and provide details, including:
-
Who is responsible for the transaction?
- How is the transaction funded?
- What was the money used for?
- Why was the transaction performed?
By strengthening billing, payment, and financial processes through Banner Accounts Receivable, we’re helping students enter fall with greater clarity and fewer financial obstacles. This effort is closely tied to the outstanding work of our Bursar and Financial Aid teams, whose collaboration ensures that students receive timely guidance and support as they prepare for the term.
Each improvement we make creates a more seamless and student‑centered transition into Banner. These steps may feel incremental, but together they build the momentum that will carry our campus confidently into our first full term with Banner.
