Resources for New Benefit Cost Transfer Tool

As a reminder, the new Benefit Cost Transfer (BCT) tool launched on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Below are a list of new resources available to you for the new tool:

Update for 1:1 UCPath HR Transaction Appointments
|
UCPath HR Transaction appointments can no longer be booked through Calendly. Please ensure that you remove the Calendly link (calendly.com/ucpath-ucsd/transactorsupport) from your bookmarks, as this URL is no longer active. 1:1 HR Transaction appointments can now be booked by submitting a request through the Employee Center.

New Guidance: Direct Retro (DR) Tool Retirement
|

As a reminder, the Direct Retro tool has now been retired as of October 1, 2025. We are working diligently to update all Direct Retro references and related guidance to ensure users have clear, up-to-date information. Updates will be shared once available.

|

October 17: 2025 Overpayment Recovery Deadline
|
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) states that repayment of a payroll overpayment must occur in the same year as the overpayment. This repayment ensures that the employee's earnings and taxes for the current year are correctly reflected in their W-2 issued in January.
|

Please submit adjustment requests for overpayments that occurred between January 1 and October 1, 2025, no later than this Friday, October 17, 2025.

UCPath Center will prioritize all overpayment adjustments received by October 17. UCPath Center may not be able to process year-end requests that are received after this deadline within the current year.
- Employees who received overpayment packets from UCPath Center must arrange repayment as soon as possible.
