Welcome to the NYU community! We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey together.

Sending your student to college is a momentous occasion filled with pride, excitement, and perhaps a touch of apprehension. Rest assured, we are here to support you every step of the way.

As parents and family members, you play a vital role in your student's college experience. The Division of Student Affairs, along with countless others at NYU, will be your partners in this exciting adventure – together we can ensure their growth and success in and out of the classroom. Over the summer, we will host programs and offerings designed for parents and families to support their student’s transition to NYU. Keep an eye out for those messages starting the first week in June. 

Your student will also hear from our NYU Welcome team, who will be in touch regularly highlighting timely requirements plus connecting them to fellow students, faculty, and staff to help them prepare for their first days at NYU. Your student has received an invitation to our New Student Send-Offs, where they can meet other incoming students and families beginning their NYU journey in Fall 2023. Joined by members of the NYU community virtually and in-person, these gatherings are a fantastic opportunity to create lasting connections that will make your student’s transition to NYU even more memorable.
