| Pick it up, put it on.
We began this quarter with a less-than-revolutionary hypothesis: “Students are more likely to wear masks that look good. That they design, and then vote on.” Oh, and they’re free.
And now, your student-designed face coverings are ready to pick-up at three convenient spots on campus. Starting Monday, May 10, bring your ID to the Price Center, Nuevo East, or Osler to grab a mask of your choosing. To see designs and location details, visit the DYO Mask Contest hub. Wear them well, Tritons.

| Welcome to Walken's Wok-in.
Which is where, in a perfect world, our favorite “more cowbell” requestor prepares traditional fare in the most utilitarian cookware ever. Until then, we’ll gladly settle for walk-in vaccinations available on campus. Beginning May 12, students with a current ID can roll up to RIMAC, roll up their sleeve, and embrace their new role as an ambassador for public health.
Already had COVID? You should still get vaccinated, because post-disease immunity is much less effective than post-vaccine. FWIW: Post Malone is generally effective, but not in this instance.

| What the FAQ?
You’ve got questions; and we’ve got answers. Because like students, a good FAQ craves A’s.

| Get wRECked in Disney trivia.
You know we love pun-laden quiz team names… consider “Turn Down for Walt” spoken for. You may not know, however, that Recreation offers a ton more than their exemplary outdoor fitness opportunities. Check out weekly roller rinks, Mexican cooking inspiration, and yes, Disney Trivia nights in Rec’s latest newsletter.

| You see, San Diego?
Clear skies, full hearts, can’t lose. Sunny Days – a six-day virtual festival with a pretty ridiculous lineup – kicks off on May 10.
The hit-makers in ASCE were able to pull EDM artist Gryffin, Omar Apollo, Chloe x Halle, and K-pop singer Eric Nam, as well as comedy stylings and conversation with Hasan Minhaj and April Ludgate herself, Aubrey Plaza.

| She / H.E.R. / Ours
Dance your way into ArtPower’s season finale. Exclusively for UC San Diego, esteemed choreographer Tiffany Rea-Fisher created Dorm Dance: H.E.R., a piece that celebrates the centennial of the Harlem Renaissance.
Learn the dance, record your video, and be a part of a live-streamed virtual dance company on May 27. No experience or semblance of rhythm (we’re looking at you, Elaine) required. Just have fun!

Thank you, Tritons, for everything you continue to do to care for one another.
Sincerely,
Alysson M. Satterlund Vice Chancellor - Student Affairs
