Beginning Sunday, Aug. 22, the campus COVID-19 testing center will be located in the Alumni Field House. Fully vaccinated asymptomatic* individuals are strongly encouraged to participate in on-campus surveillance testing.
Weekly testing continues to be mandatory for students who are unvaccinated, only partially vaccinated, or have not submitted proof of vaccination, as well as for any employees who have not submitted proof of vaccination. If you would like to submit proof of vaccination, please refer to the instructions in the "How to Provide Proof of Vaccination" section of the COVID webpage. Remember,you are not considered fully vaccinated until you are at least 14 days past receiving your last dose of vaccine.
The testing center schedule will offer expanded hours for the first week of the semester:
- Sunday, Aug. 22: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Monday, Aug. 23: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Aug. 24: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, Aug. 25: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 26: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Friday, Aug. 27: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Beginning Aug. 29, the schedule will adjust to:
- Sundays: 1 – 8 p.m.
- Mondays: 1 – 8 p.m.
- Tuesdays: 9 a.m. - noon
For those who were on campus last semester, the testing procedures will be the same. The tests will be saliva-based pool tests, and instructions on how to conduct the test will be provided at the testing center. Test results will be delivered electronically, and you can register for the testing portal in advance to save time.
The procedure for departments that self-collect will remain the same, with drop-offs due to the testing center, Tracy Hartwell in Human Resources, the Emergency Services building or the Health Center by Mondays at 2 p.m.
*(Anyone who has symptoms of COVID should not participate in the surveillance testing. If you are experiencing symptoms, students should contact the Health Center and employees should contact their primary care provider for instructions on how to get a diagnostic test.)
