A Message from the Athletic Director
Future Friars:
We hope that the 2020-2021 school year is off to a good start!  With all of the changes resulting from COVID-19, do your best to stay focused, stay positive, and stay active! We have seen many changes to our athletics schedules this year but are really encouraged by the safety protocols and measures in place at Fenwick. Our coaches and student-athletes are really excited to compete this year.

If you are not too familiar with Fenwick or Fenwick athletics, It is our mission to add to the successes and traditions of the past. In doing so, Fenwick athletics is student-centered, inclusive and filled with life lessons and skills that help our kids succeed in college and beyond.

Everything we do in athletics should reinforce what our kids are learning from their parents and teachers. As a result, our student-athletes will understand the importance of teamwork, responsibility, work ethic and respect while enjoying some of the most memorable years of their life.

We are very fortunate to have great students, great athletes, and great people! We look forward to getting to know you more in the coming months and would encourage you to stay tuned for any camps or clinics we will be hosting at Fenwick.  All the best this school year!

GO FRIARS!
Mr. Thies

COACHES CORNER: Boys & Girls' Soccer
Varsity Head Coach Craig Blazer
Veteran college soccer coach Craig Blazer is in his second season as the head coach of Fenwick boys’ soccer -- and recenlty was named head of our girls' soccer program as well. Blazer had served as the head men’s coach at DePaul University from 2001-17.

“We felt quite fortunate to be able to bring on a soccer strategist with the breadth of Coach Blazer’s experience,” says Fenwick athletic director Scott Thies, a ’99 alumnus of the school. “He was very successful collegiately at DePaul, and we look forward to him bringing his winning ways to our kicking Friars of Fenwick.” Blazer knows the sport’s fundamentals for teenagers, too, according to Thies. “Craig is a club soccer instructor for FC United out of Glenview [IL], where he works with high school-age athletes, and also runs his own youth soccer training programs for boys and girls.”
