Week 2: 🎡 Festival season edition. |
|
|
Welcome back, WW-ellas!
We missed you dearly during our holiday-induced hiatus, and hope that you’re as chuffed as we are to return to some regularly scheduled dispatches.
You’ll find today’s edition to be noticeably well-being focused – a first-of-the-year fact that, we’re aware, is even more predictable than the annually underwhelming Coachella lineup reveal.
As always: enjoy, and be kind to each other. - Ian

Next week marks the third anniversary of our Student Well Fest, a day-long slate of no-cost activities, resources, and freebies dedicated to Tritons’ overall health and wellness.
Calendar fodder.
Whether you go for the interactive sessions dedicated to our eight dimensions of well-being or for the plushie and water bottle giveaways adorned with cute little ocean-raccoons – we hope to see you in Price Center on January 24.

Speaking of supporting your well-being, there’s no better time than the start of a new year to get (re)acquainted with the wealth of resources available to students.
Chat-knower.
You'll find plenty of online options in the lengthy list linked above – like Triton2Triton, a chat-based space facilitated by trained peers; or Togetherall, an anonymous, 24/7 mental health support community – alongside familiar campus-based services, workshops, and group sessions.
Outdoors, looking inward.
Take the Tritons Flourish initiative for example, which recently facilitated a three-day student camping trip in order to unwind, form meaningful connections, and embrace the therapeutic benefits of being in nature.

Make it a point to add your mobile number to the Triton Alert emergency notification system, which uses SMS and email to keep the campus community updated in emergency situations.
