Week 10: 🏺 Not in the vase edition. |

Happy Friday, WWL collectors!
Like most of you, we’ll be taking a well-deserved respite from our regularly scheduled programming to hit the road/sky/sea in the coming weeks. With this – and final exams – in mind, today’s is a carry-on-sized edition that you can safely stow in your overhead compartments.
Until we meet again next quarter, as always: please stay safe and be kind to each other. - Ian

Here's What We've Learned since the last time we boarded your inboxes: |

| All quiet on the campus front. |
Finals week is now officially upon us, so don’t be surprised to hear some (scheduled) screaming throughout the Res Halls tonight at midnight – it’s a storied pre-quiet-hours campus tradition.
The wail. If you live off-campus, however, please consider your neighbors before shouting into the pre-dawn void.
Finding closures. While residence halls will remain open during the official campus closure from Dec. 23 - Jan. 2, be aware that HDH dining facilities, Student Health Services, and CAPS will operate with limited hours.

From respiratory issues and travel headaches to wrestling with family dynamics, we know that navigating the nuances of this holiday season can be overwhelming. And like you, we’re over being whelmed.
The high C’s. Low on patience? We get it. Upgrade your interactions with others by employing these three C’s: communicate with compassion and care.

If you do end up traveling during the break, here’s a big, fine option to consider: students ride fare-free on local trolley and bus lines via Transportation Services’ Triton U-Pass, which can get you all the way to the airport for zero dollars – and plenty of sense.
Trolley rocks ‘n free. Use your U-Pass (but don’t move the hyphen) to take the Blue Line down to the Old Town Transit Center, where you’ll transfer to the San Diego Flyer – an electric shuttle that regularly serves San Diego International Airport.

With everything that’s going on in the world at the moment, we’ve all got plenty to worry about. As fellow adults, we urge you to embrace social responsibility while using social media responsibly.
Start with some apps. If you encounter any inappropriate or abusive behavior online, use the built-in reporting platforms on TikTok, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc. to document the activity.
A matter of Principles. To reiterate the Nov. 13 VC-EDI x VCSA message in support of UC San Diego’s Principles of Community: we care deeply about each and every one of you, and stand in solidarity against Antisemitism, Islamophobia, and all forms of hate, discrimination, and intolerance. If you see it or experience it IRL: Report via OPHD.
