Sacramento State President Luke Wood inked an agreement on Thursday, March 27, empowering the University and other local educational institutions to share data to create pathways for high school students to enter college and earn their degrees.
The data-sharing partnership includes Sac State, the Sacramento K-16 Collaborative, the Los Rios Community College District and the Elk Grove Unified School District.
Student data can help educators identify individuals who are struggling in certain areas and offer targeted resources to help them succeed, Wood said.
“This is more than just a commitment on paper,” he said. “It is a promise that we will work to ensure that every single student has access to higher education.”
