Dear St. Lukers,
It’s been a long year for all of us – but as many of you know, it’s been an especially long year for our friends and family in the performing arts world. Last March, we had to cut our run of Steel Magnolias short, darkening our stage alongside every other theater and performing arts venue in town. And yet – as the stages went dark, we were able to create an opportunity to shine some light for our performers and technicians.
We’ve gotten to practice revealing the Kingdom by walking alongside our artists and performers every Tuesday since last May, offering food, resources, and community with our Supporting HEARTS events. We have been blessed to be a space where, while many of our stages have been empty, our arts family have found a place of hope, a place of community, and a place of faithfulness to God, but also to them.
This Sunday, the lights are coming back up, not just for our community, but for our stage at St. Luke’s.
