Mia Ciancio, Ellie Huff, and Cassidy Laue, undergraduate communication sciences and disorders majors working under the mentorship of Associate Professor Michael Hammer, won the Outstanding Poster Presentation Award. Kudos to Michael Hammer, associate professor of communication sciences and disorders, who presented at the 2024 Wisconsin Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Association annual convention earlier this month. His presentation was titled “Respiratory Muscle Strength Training - When, Why, How, and from Whom?”
Kudos to Delvin Barnstable, a human performance major from Sheboygan, on reaching 1,000 career points in men's basketball. Barnstable scored 459 points at Marian University and now has 545 as a Warhawk. Read more »

Kudos to the UW-Whitewater gymnastics team for its record-setting performance on Jan. 19 in the Tennessee Collegiate Classic. The Warhawks set a Division III record for team score and a program record for team score. Sarah Knetzke, a human performance major from Ozark, Missouri, set a new program record on the balance beam. Kudos to Jeff Olson, associate professor of geography, geology, and environmental science, who presented at the 2024 Crohn’s and Colitis Congress last month in Las Vegas. The Warhawk swimming and diving teams head to Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer for a four-day championship meet, while the wrestling team travels to Platteville for a one-day tournament.
