CO-CE-PO-05 Prohibition of Camping on University Property Policy
This policy prohibits camping on University grounds, in University buildings, or under University structures without written University approval. This includes establishing or maintaining outdoors—or in or under any structure not designated for human occupancy—at any time during the day or night, a temporary or permanent place for cooking, storing of personal belongings, or sleeping by setting up any bedding, mattress, tent, or other sleeping equipment, or by setting up any cooking equipment that has not been approved by the Office of Environmental Health and Safety; or sleeping outdoors with or without bedding, hammock, or similar device, structure, protection, or equipment between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
CO-CS-PO-05 Business Continuity Policy and CO-CS-PR-17 Business Continuity Procedure
This policy was updated as part of a regularly scheduled review. It was rewritten to align with current practices and to ensure that all departments and business units are prepared for any disruptions and are able to rapidly restore critical functions in the aftermath of an emergency or disaster. Requirements for each department/business unit’s business continuity plan are set out, including risk assessment and business impact analysis, business continuity planning, and testing and review. This new procedure was added to establish general University-wide standards for business continuity planning in order to minimize disruption to critical University operations in case of an emergency or disaster.
HR-E-PO-04 Reduction in Force (RIF) and Reorganization Policy
This policy was updated to align with current practices. The approval of the president is no longer required for an RIF. Instead, the vice president of the department must approve the reasons for the RIF in conjunction with the vice president for TCE and the chief legal officer.
