In June, we welcomed more than 100 new first-time and transfer students to campus, as well as their families, for our first to New Student Orientation sessions of the summer. During New Student Orientation, our newest Eagles are able to Experience Coppin State for themselves: tours of campus, meeting their fellow Eagles, and learning about the culture and traditions that will strengthen their connection to Coppin State University and our legacy.

West North Avenue Development Authority Awarded $11.4 Million

Governor Wes Moore presented the West North Avenue Development Authority with an $11.4 million check on June 30, to support revitalization efforts along the West North Avenue Corridor, between Coppin State University and Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).

“I believe in West Baltimore and the West North Avenue Development Authority – that’s why I worked with the General Assembly to secure over $11 million in this year’s budget for this important partnership between state government and the community,” said Governor Moore. “It takes real partnership to get something like this done — and I know that this funding is going to help revitalize communities, help renew a sense of possibility in these neighborhoods; and help write a new chapter in the story of our state.”
