Our biggest event of the fall is quickly approaching. Have you registered for Bisons Weekend? If not, you still have time! Our office is busy preparing for an exciting weekend for students, families and alumni. Bisons Weekend is Lipscomb University’s version of family weekend and homecoming in one combined event.
This is our largest event on campus this semester, and we don’t want you to miss it! In this newsletter I have highlighted several special events just for parents and families.

Parent Lunch and Learn Friday Nov. 8, 11:30 a.m.
Join other Lipscomb parents for lunch and an interactive, enlightening session, "Purpose Beyond the Paycheck" led by Rob Touchstone, director of the Center for Vocational Discovery and co-founder of the Well Coffeehouse. The average time an individual spends throughout their life on income-earning career work is 90,000 hours. Some see this work as a compartment of their lives that has little connection to their faith. Others see it as a burden or an obligation to simply make ends meet. And most think about how much money they might make during this span.
This lunch and learn will explore how our work can be so much more. Join us as we consider the God-designed purpose of work as an opportunity to live out our faith, steward our opportunities, and to live on mission at the intersection of faith and work. This session will also feature a spotlight on The Well Coffeehouse as an example of the kind of impact that can be created in the marketplace.
