PAFA Perspectives

A monthly feature for parents by parents, written by the  Parents and Family Association Board Chairs Roseann and Jeff Gapusan

For many parents, the prospect of their children receiving a college education is taken for granted. For some, it represents a lifelong dream to be able to contribute to this opportunity. For others, it signifies an achievement unprecedented within the family. Fight the flu with Flulapalooza

The Student Health Center recommends that all students get an influenza vaccination this fall—getting the flu shot is the best way to reduce the risk of getting and spreading the flu.

Flulapalooza will be Wednesday, Sept. 27, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the tent between Light Hall and the VA Hospital. This fun filled, efficient and fast-paced event is open to all VU and VUMC faculty, staff and students. There is no cost for the vaccine, and thousands are expected to attend.

Students should bring their Vanderbilt ID and wear short sleeves.
