Dear Eagle Nation:
I would like to welcome you back from the Thanksgiving Holiday. I hope the long weekend was restorative and spent making memories with friends and loved ones.
We have accomplished so much, this year, here at Coppin State University, including making great strides in our student recruitment and retention efforts, growing our graduation rates, and launching high-demand academic programs that help position us as a leader in urban higher education.
I am thrilled with the progress we are making, and I look forward to the milestones we will reach in the year ahead, as we continue to formulate our strategic plan and launch the first Coppin State University Gala, our new premiere event designed to illuminate the impact of our university community.
Save the Date: Friday, May 5, 2023 | 6 p.m. Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel
| |
As we enter the final month of the year, I want to remind you that our trajectory is north and our pace is swift as we build the Coppin we want to leave for the next generations of students and educators. Let us finish 2022 strong, together.

The cast included Coppin alumni Ryan Pratcher-Bey (’22), and Nikki Scroggins (‘08).
Carter shares about his Coppin State University experience: “From the time I got to Coppin, every professor I met seemed to be more than educators, but encouragers. The education from the professors in Urban Arts was more than open the book, read the chapters, take the test, and get your degree. Professors were a wealth of knowledge. Their goal was to prepare us for the working world as creative scholars.”
