Bits & Pieces: Cumulus WFMS/Indianapolis MD/morning co-host Matt Malone is looking for a new place to live after unknown parties shot into his duplex Tuesday night (4/24), breaking windows and putting a bullet hole in his couch. Malone doesn't believe he was the intended target, but is moving nonetheless. "I don't want to act like there's nothing wrong because there's something wrong," he says. "We need Indianapolis and central Indiana to be safe, and if my circumstances can help in any way to do that, I want to be a part of that solution." See local coverage here.
Ryman Hospitality WSM-AM/Nashville morning host and Country Radio Hall of Famer Bill Cody celebrated his 30th anniversary with the station during last night's Opry Country Classics at the Grand Ole Opry, where he also serves as announcer. WSM-AM GM Eric Marcum says, "His passion, integrity, and dedication to uplifting the legacy of WSM and the Grand Ole Opry shines through every time he turns on the microphone."
Toby Keith will be posthumously recognized with an honorary degree from the University of Oklahoma during the school's May 11 graduation ceremony.
