A Message from Stacey Gerrish |
Hello Team,
As we move through what has been an unusual and ever-evolving winter season, I want to pause and say thank you!
Thank you for your dedication to your craft, your guests, and each other. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as conditions, schedules, and systems continue to shift. Your professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to creating meaningful experiences on snow do not go unnoticed.
Despite what this winter has presented, you continue to show up with care, energy, and a willingness to meet guests where they are, and that matters. The guest experience is shaped not just by terrain or conditions, but by the people who guide, encourage, and inspire them. You do that every day.
I’m grateful for your understanding, your teamwork, and your continued engagement in training and professional growth. The strength of our school is rooted in the passion and resilience of our instructors, and this winter has made that especially clear.
Thank you for all that you bring to our community, on snow and off.
Keep smiling, every day on the mountain is a great day.
With appreciation,
Stacey

You asked for 8:00 am runs, and we are doing them each Wednesday and Sunday! These runs are a great way to connect and warm up for your day.
A few helpful notes to keep things smooth and consistent:
|
-
Please wear your uniform jacket and pants—this is the one training activity where a full uniform is appropriate.
- These sessions are elective and unpaid, and the group will stay together for the full run down Gold Dust.
- You can sign up through training clinics on instructor.snow.com.
|
Thank you for the suggestion —your leadership team loves to do these runs together, too!

Epic Wellness Toolkit & Resources |
What: February is Epic Wellness Month – an opportunity to focus on personal wellness and self-care, and explore all the tools available through Vail Resorts to help us do so.
|
Why: Our teams worked incredibly hard to make the holiday period a success. Now, as we reflect on the start of the season and prepare for the rest of the winter, it is an important moment for our teams to focus on their own wellbeing. We are encouraging everyone to explore the range of tools and resources available through our Epic Wellness program.
|
We encourage you to explore these and other wellness resources, and use them as needed to support yourself, your friends and family, and your colleagues. You can find all your wellness resources at any time by going to EpicEmployee and clicking on 'My Wellness.' Support from our EAP is also available by phone 24/7 at (800) 873-7138.
