This initial release of TSS is focused on delivering the core capabilities needed to support Fall 2026. As with any major system launch, you may encounter limitations, workarounds or functionality that continues to evolve as the system stabilizes. The TSS team is actively reviewing reported issues and prioritizing fixes that affect critical university operations, so please use one of the established TSS support channels to ensure your request is tracked and directed to the right team.

Incoming undergraduate students were emailed by the Office of the Registrar on August 26 about next steps for course booking. This email also included an incoming student booking guide to provide guidance on submitting TEA requests (or not).
- According to schedule, incoming undergraduate booking windows will begin on August 31 and September 1.
-
On August 26, the Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) app experienced technical issues that caused slowness to TSS overall. TEA was temporarily taken offline to resolve the issue. As of 9pm on August 26, TEA was reinstated and is back online. View the details of this incident. Please check status.ucsd.edu for real-time updates on TSS issues.
- The issue regarding TEA attachments viewing/uploading for staff and students is resolved for new attachments, however functionality may be limited if the TEA application is experiencing issues.
-
Instructor Assignments & Canvas: Some courses do not have instructors assigned on the Schedule of Classes. This is not a TSS error; this means the department has not yet assigned the instructor in ISA. Additionally, any course with multiple or co-instructors will only have one visible in TSS at this time. Since co-instructors are not visible in TSS yet, they may be able to access their course in Canvas. To add co-instructors, the Instructor of Record on the current SoC should send a ticket to canvas@ucsd.edu. For any questions, please contact the department directly.
- Financial Aid Updates: The Financial Aid & Scholarships (FAS) Office sent an email to aid eligible students on August 27 to share some important updates to 2026-27 financial aid offers impacted by the TSS data conversion:
-
2026-27 financial aid offers will be visible in the student portal beginning Friday, September 4 for eligible students, well ahead of the September 30th fee deadline and any cancellations.
- Pending aid will not yet be reflected in the student’s account balance on TritonPay when the Fall 2026 fees are initially assessed, but is expected to be available once aid offers are released.
- To accelerate the release of 2026-27 financial aid offers, FAS may temporarily modify student service hours and availability in the coming weeks. Check the FAS website for updates.

Waitlists: In alignment with standard business operations and as indicated in the registration calendar, waitlists were suspended on August 27 for graduate and continuing undergraduate students. Therefore, no students can join a waitlist from August 27 to September 3. Waitlists will reopen for students on September 4.
-
Direct Deposit Reinforcement: We still need more students to add their direct deposit information in TSS. When possible, encourage students to enter their direct deposit information in TSS to ensure refunds and stipends are distributed to them. Student Financial Solutions sent students this notice recently: Enroll in Direct Deposit.
- Student Questions Video: Interim EVC Robert Continetti and Interim CIO Kevin Chou answer questions submitted by students about the transition to TSS.
