Building the Foundation for a Brighter Future: HomeAid’s Vision and Goals for 2025
As we step into 2025, HomeAid’s mission to build new lives for individuals and families experiencing homelessness remains as urgent and vital as ever. Across the United States, the need for safe, stable housing continues to grow, and so does our resolve to make a lasting impact. With the support of our national network of 19 affiliates, hundreds of partners, and thousands of volunteers, we are casting a bold vision for the year ahead that focuses on growth, innovation, and deeper community impact.
Expanding Our Reach
One of our primary goals in 2025 is to expand HomeAid’s footprint to address homelessness in more communities. This year, we celebrate the transformation of HomeAid Atlanta into HomeAid Georgia, a transition that reflects our commitment to scaling our efforts in regions where the need is critical. Additionally, we are actively working with stakeholders in Dallas/Fort Worth to establish a new affiliate, bringing the total number of HomeAid affiliates closer to our long-term goal of having a presence in key communities across the nation.
By growing our network, we can develop more housing projects, foster stronger local partnerships, and serve thousands more individuals and families in need. Every affiliate we launch is another opportunity to create life-changing solutions that are deeply rooted in local communities.
Deepening Our Impact
While expanding geographically, we are equally focused on deepening the impact of our existing work. HomeAid’s affiliates have completed over 1,300 projects valued at over $352 million, with 40% of those costs covered by in-kind contributions. This level of efficiency and effectiveness underscores the power of collaboration, and we aim to build on this success in 2025 by:
- Increasing Project Volume: We are setting an ambitious target to exceed 60 completed projects nationwide, providing essential housing and support for individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.
- Enhancing Community Collaboration: By fostering stronger partnerships with builders, trade partners, and nonprofit service providers, we can amplify our collective impact and meet the specific needs of each community.
Addressing Systemic Challenges
Homelessness is a complex issue that requires more than just housing. It requires understanding and addressing systemic challenges such as affordability, mental health, and access to resources. In 2025, HomeAid will:
- Launch Advocacy Initiatives: We will work alongside our partners to advocate for policies that support affordable housing development and homeless services at local, state, and national levels.
- Expand Supportive Services: Through partnerships with local nonprofits, we will ensure that the housing we provide is accompanied by wraparound services that help individuals and families achieve long-term stability.
Fostering Leadership and Resilience
At the heart of HomeAid’s mission is the leadership of our dedicated staff, board members, and affiliate teams. In 2025, we will prioritize leadership development through initiatives like our annual staff retreat, which focuses on principles such as Gratitude, Resilience, Aspiration, Courage, and Empathy (G.R.A.C.E.). These values not only guide our work but also strengthen the bonds within our organization.
Telling “The Story”
Throughout the year and especially during November’s Homelessness Awareness Month, telling “The Story” will guide our efforts to reshape the narrative around homelessness. Through storytelling, public awareness campaigns, and community engagement, we aim to highlight the resilience of those we serve and the transformative power of housing and support.
A Call to Action
As we look to 2025, we are energized by the opportunities ahead. But we can’t do this alone. HomeAid’s work relies on the generosity and partnership of individuals, corporations, and communities. Together, we can build more than houses—we can build hope and a future where everyone has a place to call home.
Join us as we continue this vital work. Whether through volunteering, donating, or partnering with HomeAid, you have the power to make a difference. Let’s build a better future together.
