Free Shipping This Weekend with Digital Cookie! |
For the first time ever, River Valleys is thrilled to offer a free shipping promotion! It’s a sweet treat for customers that want to support your troop or Girl Scout across the miles. Customers who order 8-24 packages through a Girl Scout or troop’s Digital Cookie Ship Only site link will receive FREE shipping. This promotion starts March 16 and ends at 11:59pm on March 17, 2024.
Spread the word with your families so Girl Scouts can share their Digital Cookie site link with their customers on social media, by text, or by email. For customers in their Digital Cookie customer list, they can select the shipping promotion marketing email to send to promote the offer. Share it here, there, and everywhere! Every shipped package order will help girls get closer to their sales goals. This is a great opportunity for a Girl Scout who is so close to that next reward level to help boost sales too. Download and share the Free Shipping social media image to promote this special event:
|
If a Girl Scout has turned off the option for local delivery, they can still share their Digital Cookie site link for shipped only cookie sales and promote the opportunity with their customers.
Don’t forget, you can share your Troop Shipped Cookie link from Digital Cookie too! Just login to your Digital Cookie troop site and click on the View Troop’s Ship Only Link (see example below) for both the link and a QR code. Share it on social media or print fliers that feature the QR code and details on this limited time offer.
|
Shipped cookie sales from the troop Digital Cookie link will be distributed in Smart Cookies to participating girls. Orders from customers who enter their zip code in the Cookie Finder to have cookies shipped to their door also are eligible for this shipping promotion.
It’s a great opportunity for customers to stock up before the final days of the sale or to encourage those that haven’t purchased yet to take advantage of this limited-time offer.

Big Green Weekend March 16-17
|
Along with saving customers some green on shipping this weekend, your troop can paint the town Girl Scout green and celebrate our Big Green Weekend!
Troops that hold cookie booths this weekend and report their sales in the Smart Booth Divider by March 20 will be entered into drawings to win some big, fun prizes like cookie costumes, axolotl beanie caps, tablecloths, Squishables, and much more!
|
- The more booths you hold, the more chances to win! We’ll give your troop an entry for each booth held during the Big Green weekend, both council-secured and troop-secured.
- We’ll announce the winners in The Cookie Press before the end of the month.
|
The Free Thin Mints for a Year promotion continues through March 24. Customers that purchase 5 or more packages of cookies either in-person or online for local delivery can be entered to win. If you haven’t already, download our Free Thin Mints for a Year flier. Then, print and display it at your booth and share a copy with families too. Check out the contest details here.

Cookie Exchanges at Cookie Cupboards
|
Now through the end of the sale, all Council On-Demand cupboards will allow full, bakery-sealed cookie case exchanges during their standard operating schedule. For troops that utilize Regional Cupboards, connect with your cupboard manager to determine available inventory to exchange. Here’s a quick look at the details:
|
-
Troops must exchange for an equal or greater number of cookies. For example, if you wish to exchange 3 cases of Trefoils for other varieties, you must pick up 3 or more cases of other varieties. Full case exchanges are preferred.
- Cases must be full, bakery-sealed and are subject to inspection by cupboard staff. Cases that smell of smoke, pets, appear to be glued, or otherwise not sellable will be refused.
- Gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip are not eligible to be exchanged.

Troop Shipped Cookie Orders & Crediting Girl Scouts with Sales |
You can view any Shipped Cookie Orders credited to your troop in Smart Cookies by going to Orders>Troop Direct Ship Orders. Sales from customers who use the National Cookie Finder will appear here along with any other orders the troop received from promoting the troop ship only link. You can also view these orders on the Manage Orders screen. They will appear under one entry with the prefix TDS followed by the troop number until the orders are transferred to the Girl Scouts. Once all the cookies are distributed to girls for credit, the troop entry will show “0” in the order detail.
Distribute these sales to troop members when you are ready to order rewards. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Distribute Orders to Girls button. Select the individuals from your troop to distribute the cookies sold, then click on Continue. Enter the number of packages for each Girl Scout and click on Save when complete. This process is like using the Smart Booth Divider where everyone will be credited with the number of packages sold with the financial credit made to the troop.

Cookie Pro of the Week Winners
|
Announcing this week's Cookie Pro of the Week Winners:
D/B/J Winner: Sophia T. of Junior troop 57445
Sophia wanted to try selling to a business this year, her parents were buying a new car and thought the employees and customers would benefit from cookies as an incentive. She worked with her parents to create a business pitch. Thurs March 7 she went to Luther Hyundai dealership in Bloomington, MN. She met with General Manager, Alex and salesman Teign, were she presented her partnership idea. Sophia was able to sell 8 cases (96 boxes) them. The sales team and customers were happy.
|
C/S/A Winner: Megan W. of Ambassador troop 16006
As a final year Ambassador, Megan has worked many booths to achieve goals. At this booth she was approached by a customer who asked her questions about her sales, what she is going to do with the money, etc. Not unusual questions, and Megan always enjoys sharing her answers. From her trip to a Girl Scout Destinations Horse camp last year, to funding her Higher Awards projects and giving back to community groups, our troop has been able to do a lot of good with our cookie sale proceeds. This time, the customer wanted to buy 100 boxes of cookies for his business. He said he had been looking for a Girl Scout who was "out there hustling to reach her goals," and Megan was doing just that. Being able to tell the story about what she has accomplished in the past, and what she plans to do with this years proceeds, was what made the sale. We were able to deliver the cookies the next day. Delivering them later offered Megan the opportunity to thank him again in person as well as in a written thank you note with his cookies. Before we left, he checked to make sure that if he needed more, he could order through the link we had provided.
|
Girl Scouts in the winning troops will receive the 2024 Cookie Pro patch and all weekly winners will be eligible to win "Cookie Pro of the Year" which is a grand prize of a $200 credit towards admission of either an Escape Room or Trampoline Park. Submit your troop or Juliette’s story today.
