UTA highlighted the ingenuity and creativity of its students, faculty, and staff at its first Celebration of Research and Innovation at College Park Center.
The daylong event, sponsored by Toyota, was akin to a collegiate science fair for UTA’s world-class researchers. It featured some of the University’s top scientists and inventors alongside business leaders, entrepreneurs, commercialization experts, and more.

| LGBTQ+ program honors Mavericks
|
Students, faculty, and staff celebrated Maverick students at the 10th annual Lavender Graduation. The UTA celebration, also held on campuses across the country, honored LGBTQ+ students and their allies who will graduate at UTA commencement ceremonies next month at Globe Life Field.

Latino graduates are invited to register for the 2023 UTA Celebrando el Éxito ceremony on Thursday, May 4, in the University Center Bluebonnet Ballroom. To attend, graduates must register by Wednesday, April 26. Registration is free and participants will receive a serape stole.

Join the Pakistan Student Association for a celebration of Eid on Sunday, April 30, at 4 p.m. UTA students will gather with peers from UT Dallas at the UTD multipurpose fields to enjoy kite flying, mechanical bull rides, an obstacle course, henna stalls, and plenty of food. Evening of Black Excellence
|
The Evening of Black Excellence is a celebration on Wednesday, May 10, honoring Black, African, and African American students who are graduating this semester. The ceremony embraces the pillars of scholarship, heritage, culture, and community. Friends and family are welcome to attend and celebrate their graduate's academic achievements. Register by Wednesday, May 3, to attend.

Enter the BioBlitz photo contest, sponsored by UTA Libraries and the Office of Sustainability. To participate, simply turn on your camera's GPS tagging, take photos of natural life on campus, and upload your photos to iNaturalist. Prizes will be awarded in various categories.
