Governance Critical to SIS Project Success

One of the SIS project’s guiding principles is to leverage the talent and experience of staff, partners and departments across campus rather than relying on outside experts to guide and execute the project. This not only applies to project core team members and subject matter experts, but also to the SIS governance committee.

Governance committee members bring the perspectives of their current roles and organizations, as well as wisdom derived from progressively responsible positions at UC San Diego, other universities and other settings.

Together with ESR program leadership and the SIS project team, governance provides leadership and oversight in resolving process issues and organizational conflicts. Learn more about the role of project governance.

SIS Team Presents at Campus LISA

The ESR SIS project team recently presented at Campus LISA 2021, an annual conference for UC San Diego technical professionals. Participating in Campus LISA is part of our continuing effort to connect and collaborate with various SMEs and communities campuswide.

Change Lead and Change Practitioner Needed

EIM Project Seeks Change Lead & Change Practitioner

We previously explained how we’re sharing our knowledge and lessons learned to help our fellow ESR projects, including the Enterprise Identity Management (EIM) project. Now, we’re happy to share the following news on behalf of our colleagues on the EIM project:

The Enterprise Identity Management (EIM) project is looking for both a Change Lead and a Change Practitioner to join their team. Learn more about the EIM project and learn more about these EIM Change Lead & Change Practitioner roles.

One of the goals of the ESR SIS project is “full and successful integration with other campus enterprise systems” including (but certainly not limited to) an EIM service, the many AHs, and the FIS.
