The National Health Care for the Homeless Council is accepting abstracts for the 2024 NHCHC conference, slated for May 13-16 in Phoenix at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa.

This year's conference theme is “Toward Access and EquaLity: Embracing an Equitable Approach to Health Care.” If you have a compelling presentation to share with peers nationally and internationally, we welcome you to submit an abstract that incorporates diverse perspectives and demonstrates the use of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles within the subject area.

The deadline to submit abstracts is Sept. 22, 2023. We hope to hear from you!

The Council is also looking for abstract reviewers for the 2024 conference. Those interested should complete the Reviewer Submission Form found here. Dissecting the Street Medicine Landscape Analysis with Street Medicine Leaders

Join us Aug. 31 at 12 p.m. CDT for an in-depth analysis and discussion of the recently published California Street Medicine Landscape Survey and Report. (This webinar was originally scheduled for June 6 but was rescheduled due to technical difficulties.)

This first-of-its-kind study looks at the scope of street medicine practice across the state of California and how street medicine should be scaled to meet the growing need of people who are unsheltered.

Brett Feldman, MSPAS, PA-C, co-founder and Director of USC Street Medicine, co-authored this report and will discuss the findings and recommendations. He will be joined by an incredible panel of founders and leaders in the street medicine movement to discuss the implications of this report and what it means for the broader street medicine efforts across the country. Respite Care Providers' Network All-Member Meeting

The Respite Care Providers' Network invites its members to join the next All-Member Meeting on Aug. 30, 2023, at 2 p.m. CDT. All-Member Meetings provide an opportunity to discuss key issues affecting the medical respite care field with other professionals. We will provide updates on the National Institute for Medical Respite Care, as well as resources and policy issues.
