Embracing the Possibilities |
Each month, we’re highlighting how Encompass will make everyday tasks easier.
|
|
|
Conditional Add/Drop allows students to drop a section from their schedule on the condition that they can add to another section.
|
| Not sure what something is called or where to find it? Use the Workday Assistant (chat icon in the top-right corner) for quick guidance and help navigating tasks.

Two new resources are now available to support key processes:
|
For Unit Initiators: Clarification on Payroll Data and Tableau |
Starting with January 2026 payrolls, detailed payroll actuals and commitment data will be available only in Workday (not SAP).
Summary totals will still post to SAP and Tableau, including Grant Reporting, for each semi-monthly payroll, but for anything after December 2025, you’ll need to view detailed breakdowns directly in Workday.
A reminder on how to access this report:
|
To update your delivery preferences for future W-2s to only receive electronic versions:
|
-
Log in to Workday
- In the search bar, type "My Tax Documents"
- Select Tax Form Printing Elections
-
Click Edit and choose: Receive electronic copy of my Year-End Tax Documents
- Click OK to save
|
Note: Beginning with the 2026 tax year forms (issued in 2027), all W-2s will be available digitally in Workday. If you want a paper copy, you must opt in to recieve it.

We’ve completed the first week of priority registration, an important milestone in our transition to Banner. As we move forward, it’s important to remember that this is only the first step on our journey. In the coming weeks, we will continue working with current students to solidify their fall course schedules, while also preparing to welcome incoming students as new student orientation approaches.
Together, we have many key milestones still ahead, and we ask for your continued partnership and engagement as we prepare Banner for a successful fall.
Jennifer Simmons
Assistant Provost and Banner Project Director
