Relationship building and maximizing natural light
When you understand the complexities of homebuilding and remodeling, from start to finish, you will better appreciate the realities of the construction process and why an expert resource performing every task is so crucial. A partner who keeps you informed and explains the rationale of every decision you make together.
For more than 35 years, we have advocated for our homeowners, assisting them in making the best choices for both their estates and their bottom lines. We’re honored to be the builder of choice year after year by some of our area’s most discerning homeowners.
Many – if not the majority – of our clients spend part of the year in Southwest Florida and the rest of the year out of state or traveling abroad. A good partner knows by reducing uncertainty and developing trust, you as a client will have much less (if any) stress throughout the build of your home. At Harwick Homes, we are proud of the record we have established with multiple generations of clients who refer their friends and family to us for both new construction and remodeling.
We earn the trust of clients each and every day. And we welcome questions about every aspect of our business, because just as our tagline promises, we know the difference – especially between us and other builders – is in the details.
This 10,000 square-foot estate underwent a dramatic style transformation from dark, heavy Mediterranean to bright, transitional contemporary.
The remodeled spaces now feature a neutral interior color palette, light greys and soft browns in the furniture, with warm wood cabinetry and ceilings.
Thanks to advanced technologies and materials, today’s new homes offer abundant natural light, in contrast to the scaled-down windows and glass doors in older homes. Residents of older homes need not panic, though. A variety of products are available to help increase interior natural light without adversely affecting a home’s traditional façade, including:
- Glass walls
- Roof windows (or a series of these units)
- Tubular skylights
- Fixed or operable transom windows
- Glass block or fixed panes of glass
These features can carry large quantities of natural light into tight or dark inner spaces, making them feel bigger and more comfortable. Peruse our gallery for examples of maximized natural light.
