Kudos to Jim Mead, communication faculty and director of UWW-TV, who was selected to serve a two-year term on the Wisconsin Community Media Board of Directors. WCMB is a nonprofit organization formed in 1998 to create and share outstanding programming and educational media projects for the benefit of Wisconsin communities, as well as showcase local talent. Kudos to the UW-Whitewater Forensics Team for picking up 12 awards at the first and second Mid-America Forensics League Tournaments. Members of the winning squad were senior Kensington Narkis, sophomore Megan Ehle, and freshmen Juniper Oldenburg-Garcia and Emmalee Empey. In her first college tournament, Emmalee Empey was tournament champion in Informative Speaking!

Kudos to Ruth Hansen, assistant professor of management and director of the Institute of Nonprofit Management Studies, on her election to the board of the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council, an international membership association made up of academic centers or programs at accredited colleges and universities focused on the study of nonprofit/nongovernmental organizations, voluntary action, and/or philanthropy.
Kudos to the UW-Whitewater Women’s Tennis Team for being dominant in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, securing their 17th consecutive conference title this year. With this victory, the team has now won a total of 24 WIAC titles. The conference championship is determined by a combination of regular-season dual-meet standings and the WIAC championship results, with the regular season accounting for one-third of the criteria. The Warhawks went undefeated with a perfect 6-0 record in dual meets. Their strong regular season performance earned them a total of seven points heading into the championship, solidifying their claim to the title once again. Read more »

Volleyball sets up home finale |
#6 Volleyball sets up their home finale against UW-River Falls for Senior Night on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Kris Russell Volleyball Arena in Williams Center. The Warhawks have a remarkable record, with 35 wins and a 14-game winning streak being their standout achievements against River Falls. They have proven to be a dominant force, with a strong home record (22-1) and an impressive conference record (21-6). The rivalry between these two teams has showcased some thrilling matches, with both teams displaying their skills and competitiveness on the court. Come out and cheer on the ladies for the last home match of the year. If you are not able to attend, it will be live streamed on the WIAC Network.

| Free STI Testing and Treatments
|
University Health and Counseling Services, located in the Ambrose Health Center, offers free, confidential testing for sexually transmitted infections including chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, syphilis and HIV. STI treatments are available to enrolled students and their partners, including partners who are not UW-Whitewater students.
