Dear Traveler,
Welcome to our 2025 Thanksgiving Issue!
As we gear up for Thanksgiving next week, the word that defines our year is unyielding. Despite significant global travel turbulence, we witnessed an astounding surge in purposeful exploration.
We are deeply thankful for your trust and determination, which allowed us to navigate complexity and deliver truly exceptional journeys. Our success is measured by the depth of experiences created, like finding connection in a secluded Tuscan village or having a Male Choir serenade you through your window in the historic fishing village of Mousehole, West Cornwall.
This year, we revamped our "Travel Bytes" section to be more meaningful and introduced our new Lounge Reviews. This focus on enhanced practical content and valuable comfort insights proved an overwhelming success with our readers and clients.
Your willingness to keep exploring in uncertain times, is the inspiration that fuels our passion for providing seamless, high-touch service.
As you celebrate with your loved ones this Thanksgiving, we extend our most sincere gratitude. May this season be filled with warmth, deep connection, and the remembrance of all the amazing adventures you have shared with us.
Ever so grateful and blessed,
Anca and Bruce, your Allora'Scapes Team

Customer Travel Spotlight ~ A Great Britain Birthday Adventure!
| |
We are grateful for the kind words of these amazing cousins celebrating milestone birthdays, who provided us a glimpse into their incredible adventure across Great Britain and the United Kingdom ...
"Huge thanks to Bruce for organizing a perfectly tailored journey through England and Scotland. Every detail reflected our interests - from the mix of vibrant cities and charming villages to breathtaking countryside and coastal views.
Bruce’s excellent choices in accommodations, from grand hotels to cozy inns with rooms above the pub, along with private tours, and memorable dining experiences made the trip seamless. His great recommendations and travel tips gave us the confidence to explore abroad on our own.
We began in London, discovering landmarks like the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace, and watching the city sparkle from the Sky Garden at sunset.
From the grandeur of Windsor Castle to the historic city of Bath, the ancient Roman Baths were a highlight. The Cotswolds charmed us with its rolling hills and storybook cottages. In Cornwall, dramatic cliffs, the Minack Theatre, and a local choir performance made the coast unforgettable.
Our finale in Edinburgh was pure magic-castle views, the cobbled streets of the Royal Mile, and a mysterious underground tour, all topped off with a food tour full of local flavors. A day through the Scottish Highlands and a whiskey tasting provided a perfect ending. What an unforgettable birthday trip!"

Last issue, we shared information on the The European Union (EU)'s new Entry/Exit System (EES), which will have a Biometric Requirement including fingerprints and facial recognition in lieu of receiving a passport stamp. It has started rolling out across the 29 Participating EES Countries. You can read more about it in last month's issue, here.
This month, we would like to share information on what to expect.
For your first EES entry
- Register your data: You will register your biometric data, which includes having a photograph taken and your fingerprints scanned. This can be done at a self-service kiosk or with a border control officer.
- Scan your passport: Your passport will be scanned to collect your travel document data.
- Answer trip questions: You may be asked a few questions about your trip, such as proof of accommodation or sufficient funds.
- Receive a digital record: A digital record of your entry and other data will be created and stored in the system.
On future entries
- Faster processing: On subsequent visits, the system will use facial recognition to verify your identity, which should make border crossings faster.
- Data check: Your facial image and fingerprints will be checked against the data already on file in the EES.
- Manual stamps will stop: Once the EES is fully operational, manual passport stamping will cease for most travelers.
- One key thing to keep in mind, if you refuse to allow them to take your biometric data, you will be denied entry, so it is best to prepare ahead of time.
For more information on EES, visit the official European Union website's "Travel to Europe Portal ".
As always, safe travels!
