Week 7: 🍬 Sweet tartan edition. |

Odelay, all ye WWL faithful.
Surprise! We’re joining you on an odd-numbered week this time around, due in large part to the worst holiday gift ever – scheduling abnormalities.
A quick programming note: our next dispatch will drop just before finals during Week 10, so BOLO for some light reading to accompany your quarter’s-worth of heavy cramming.
Until then, as always: please stay safe and be kind to each other. - Ian

Here's What We've Learned since the last time we plaid your inboxes a visit: |

With everything that’s going on in the world at the moment, we’ve all got plenty to worry about. As fellow adults, we urge you to embrace social responsibility while using social media responsibly.
Start with some apps. If you encounter any inappropriate or abusive behavior online, use the built-in reporting platforms on TikTok, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc. to document such activity.
A matter of Principles. To reiterate the VC-EDI x VCSA Monday message in support of UC San Diego’s Principles of Community: we care deeply about each and every one of you, and stand in solidarity against Antisemitism, Islamophobia, and all forms of hate, discrimination, and intolerance. See it? Experienced it? Report it via OPHD.

| Burn in the midnight hour? |
If you’ve got a non-emergency concern while Student Health is closed, be sure to call their After-Hours Nurse Line for free medical advice. All students can utilize this service, regardless of insurance coverage.
Pre-age before triage. Rather than subjecting yourself to a long wait in the ER for a midterm-season paper cut, call the standard SHS number at 858-534-3300 and select "After Hours Advice" to speak with a registered nurse who can assist you in obtaining appropriate care outside of operating hours.

| Save it for a trainy day. |
Student employees: whether or not you get down with next week’s turkey-based holiday, some downtime from the classroom offers ample opportunity to knock out mandatory trainings – including the new-for-this-year course on Abusive Conduct in the Workplace.
Assign of the times. Completion of these requirements helps to foster a healthy, positive, and supportive work environment in our campus community. To check your status on assigned compliance courses, visit UCLearning.ucsd.edu.

Dec. 1 marks one of the largest sporting events in Triton history, as our cross-town rivals – and recent NCAA tournament second-placers – the San Diego State Aztecs visit Liontree Arena. The first 1,500 students to cheer on our men’s basketball team will receive a free replica jersey, pizza, and legit raffle prizes like an iPad, e-scooter, Bluetooth JBL speaker, and more.
