Hands-On Learning Abounds!

Our Dragons are finishing strong as we near the end of this school year!  Below are just a few of the learning explorations you can find detailed in our media gallery this week.
  • Middle School eighth grade "Shark Tank-inspired" design projects on how to reinvent Monument Avenue, presented via Zoom to a Director of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
  • Seventh grade "ofrendas" and presentations in Spanish to honor the memory of loved ones
  • First grade Story Book Character Day, a research project and literature response
  • Transported back in time to experience what life was like in the early days of our country, third graders immersed in Colonial Day activities
  • Garden harvesting and tastings in fourth grade, complete with magical garden gnomes cheering for them.

Summary of the May 10 Parent Call re: the '21-'22 School Year

Thank you to all who joined us on May 10 for our virtual parent meeting regarding our plans for the 2021-22 school year.
As shared, our intention is to start the school year in accordance with the 2021-22 Academic Calendar, with a goal of resuming normal operations for in-person teaching and learning with amended COVID protocols. This is contingent upon COVID numbers continuing to decline and any new mandates by the Governor.
As promised, below please find links to the meeting recording, as well as a bulleted summary.

Nearing the Finish Line

St M recently sent out two important letters outlining plans for grades K-7 closing exercises the week of June 7, as well as eighth grade exams and activities culminating in graduation on June 10. Links to these letters are below. Thanks for reviewing them carefully.
