Week of June 6, 2021: Closing Exercises

Godspeed to the Class of 2021!

To all of our graduating Dragons, we will never forget your energy, your smiles, and all of your contributions to St. Michael's. We hope you will always carry the knowledge, values, and friendships you acquired at our School in your minds and hearts. As you head out to new high schools and new adventures, our best wishes, love, and support go with you!
Remember: Once a Dragon, ALWAYS a Dragon!

K-7 Closing Exercises

Closing ceremonies are not only opportunities to announce awards for writing, math, and citizenship, but also to finish the school year together in prayer. We believe gathering as a community for these ceremonies is also an important part of the School's cultural fabric.
St. Michael’s will be executing ten total K-8 culminating events over the course of this week.
The tables below provide information about the time of each ceremony. Other important details are included in the bullet points below the chart to include dress code, guests, etc.

Eighth Grade Graduation

St M sent out several important letters outlining plans for Baccalaureate and Graduation. Links below.
The Graduation Day Schedule (Thursday, June 10):
7:30 a.m. The gymnasium doors open.
With the exception of assigned seats purchased at the auction and those for faculty and the graduates, there is no assigned seating.
8 a.m. Members of the Class of 2021 arrive in the Great Hall for pictures no later than 8 a.m. The School has arranged for a professional photographer to take class pictures.
9 a.m. The Graduation service begins. Following the approximately 35-40 minute service, all guests are invited to a celebratory reception.
GUESTS: As announced on April 1, given Governor mandated occupancy requirements and COVID protocols still in place for schools, each graduate may bring TWO guests. (For example, two parents OR one parent and a guest OR one parent and a sibling, etc.) Masks are required for ALL attendees.
LIVESTREAM: We do plan to LIVE STREAM both the Baccalaureate and the Graduation ceremony. The links to view the live streams will be sent out on Wednesday, June 9.
ATTIRE: Students are to wear either a white dress, white pantsuit, or coat & tie. The School will provide flowers, boutonnieres, and St M logo masks to the graduates the morning of the ceremony.

Masks Required On Campus

Parents and guests, when you come to St. Michael's, please set the example for your children who are still required to wear masks. Thank you for supporting our full community with your adherence to our mask policy as you attend end-of-year closing events. Thank you!

Yearbook Dedication

Hooray! The yearbooks are here! A perennial favorite of our students is sharing yearbook signatures and fond sentiments. We are truly GRATEFUL for the yearbook leadership of Sandy Brooks and Jennifer Jung and their dedicated team.
The St. Michael's 2021 Dragon's Lair yearbook was graciously dedicated to Erbie Godwin, our wonderful Middle School Division Assistant. As a welcoming and supportive gatekeeper of information within the Middle School. Mrs. Godwin helps students navigate the high school process. The wealth of information she possesses is unmatched and our students know that they can rely on her for support and encouragement throughout the day.
Three cheers for Mrs. Godwin!

We're Still Groovin' To the Goal!
