Two Celebrations
Motor City Wheels For Meals Reception Is Capped
With Ribbon-Cutting For Matick Auto Wash
♦ A special fundraiser at our new Matick Auto Wash on May 21 put the spotlight on raising awareness about food insecurity issues affecting Wayne County's senior population.
Wayne County Executive Warren Evans and Detroit Mayor Michael Duggan co-sponsored the Motor City Wheels for Meals reception, which drew about 300 supporters and raised more than $113,000 for the county's Meals on Wheels programs. Those donations will supply more than 20,000 additional meals for hungry seniors. ♦ After the program, guests joined the Redford Township Chamber and Team Matick for the official ribbon-cutting of the new $7.5-million auto wash and detail center, the largest in Michigan.
"It's not just a car wash, it's a huge state-of-the-art facility that will quickly become a destination where cars will be cared for in a clean, fun and professional environment," says auto wash manager Charlotte Wilsher.
- There are 15 interior detail bays for cleaning services, staffed by Matick Auto Wash employees, plus an additional 19 exterior vacuum bays that are free to use for customers who purchase a car wash.
- We're still putting the entire auto wash and detail operations through final testing and look forward to opening to the public later this month.
- WELCOME GIFT: Text "CARWASH" to 31996 to receive a free car wash when we open. See you soon!
