Hey Team, we are 17 days away from the Bike Park opening, Mini Shredders Spring started yesterday (they are so cute!! and the kids!!!), the schedulers are back in the office and the Supervisors start training next week; it is starting to look a lot like summer!!!

I know I say this every time but for real there is a LOT of info here. Please take the time to read to save yourself the effort of emailing, calling or texting with questions! Of course if the answer is not in here (or the previous newsletters, links below) then reach out and we will be happy to help! 

PRE BOARDING:

If you haven't done your Pre Boarding steps please see Newsletter #2 for details and Newsletter #3 for specific info on the tasks. You do not have to have received the emails to complete the tasks - just follow the directions laid out in the newsletter. Any issues let us know. 

ADD HIRE:

We will doing your 'Add Hire' to hire you back to Bike School this week. We cannot do this if you have not done your pre boarding steps. You will not be able to start work or get your pass until we do this. 

ON BOARDING:

Once we have completed your add hire you will get another email from Vail Resorts saying you have been rehired. Again follow the steps carefully and complete all the tasks. 

You do not need to go to The Springs all steps should be able to be completed online. 

What tasks you need to do will depend on whether you worked the winter for Vail Resorts or not. Please read the articles below on wbsnowschool.ca for more details on benefits, vacation pay etc.

BIKE PARK WAIVERS:
Once your onboarding is complete you will need to go in person to sign a Bike Park Waiver. This is no longer at The Springs. You will be able to sign from Thursday May 1st in all open Guest Service locations, between 11am-2pm, they can help at other times if they are not busy.

Guest Services is also selling the 50% off passes for staff/dependents for SISed staff from May 1st. Tell your friends.

Summer coupon pickup will start May 20th in all GS locations.

We will be holding a Staff Day again this season. Thursday May 15 1-4pm, Fitz will be running for staff only. Weather dependent.

Please make sure you have signed your Bike Park waiver at Guest Services and your online Winter waiver on Epic Employee in required notices. 

GLC will be open for Apres. Enjoy!! But be safe!!!

The Uniforms are here!!!!!!!!! The jerseys are being screened so once they are back we will let you know. 

Uniform pick up will be back at The Springs. We will let you know when it is time to pick up your uniform, please DO NOT go before you get the email. 

The Springs will have a list of what everyone is allocated. Please see the list below to see what full time and part time are eligible for. If you feel the allocation the Springs have for you is incorrect please do not argue with the staff (remember rule number 1!!! Don't be a Dick!!) talk to your supervisor who can email an exception IF required.

The schedulers are back and going through scheduling surveys, building master schedules and reading emails, they will get back to you as soon as they can. They will be contacting anyone who has not filled in the survey or do not meet the Full Time or Part Time requirements.

Reminder to submit any Time Off requests BEFORE booking any trips. We will approve time off as soon as possible and let you know if it has been approved. 

Looking for work this Spring?

We still need more staff for Spring club and Spring evening programs. 

Please fill out the survey if you are interested.

PRIVATES:
Privates will be available online from Wednesday April 30. Please reach out to your guests and encourage them to book. 
3for2 will run all season. 

Please let the schedulers know of your holds as soon as you get them. 

Request Rules:

A reminder that a lesson is only a request if you have taught them before either summer or winter at a Vail Resorts. 
It is not a request if it is a referral from another instructor or someone you have just met. Until they book you again. 

If you are planning to move into HOUSE please fill out the application below. All Full Time staff will be allocated a bed. 

If your Star Rez application has not been approved please email Lucie directly and she will approve it for you. 

FINAL REMINDER:

We will be offering 2 free first aid courses for anyone needing to recert their basic first aid this summer.

Please only sign up for a course if your certification is going to expire this year. I have also sent those who we have on file as needing to recert an email. 

The course dates are Sunday May 4 (just a few spots remaining) and Monday June 16. Please sign up using the link below and we will send you more details. 

If can no longer attend the course please email Nadio and he will remove you from the list. 

If you sign up please make sure you pick up your cards!! We have lots of boxes of cards still left over from Winter - please don't create waste!!!
