Today’s What We’ve Learned is a monster mash-up of WWL entries from the past half-quarter (is that an eighth, fractionistas?), with a few new treats and wordplay trickery mixed in.

Hocus Poke-us.

Although COVID case rates are currently low at the mo, we’re sure to see a surge during the holiday travel-heavy months to come. With common cold and seasonal flu on the horizon, protection against this viral witch’s brew is imperative.

Vamp stamp. This Fall and Winter, cover your back (health-wise) by staying:

Up-to-date on both COVID and influenza vaccinations;
In-the-know about local viral activity via the Return to Learn dashboard; and
In-the-nose with a COVID test whenever you’re feeling unwell.

Might wear before Christmas.

We know that face covering requirements on and around campus can be as confusing as a Christmas tree in Halloweentown, but, as gourd is our witness: wearing a mask offers proven protection from the creepiest of airborne ailments.

What’s this? There’s masking everywhere… While currently optional indoors, face coverings are still required in all classroom/instructional settings, clinical areas, and on Triton/university transportation (like shuttles and buses). Pick yours up for free at one of our ever-expanding distribution locations on campus.

The calls are coming from inside the house.

Our “full-size candy bar” of authentication services – Duo – is retiring its phone callback option over the next few months.

Callaback, youngin. If you use the call-back feature to access behind-the-login faves like Canvas and TritonLink, be sure to adjust those settings before the phase-out begins on November 8.
