Mojo Vision's Series A Hits $43.5M Following Pivot to Micro-LED Displays

Back in April, Mojo Vision, co-founded by Carnegie Mellon University alumnus Drew Perkins, announced a new $22.4M Series A. Six months later, the round has nearly doubled to $43.5M, courtesy of New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Khosla Ventures, who co-led the round. It’s been nine months since the startup announced a big pivot the week of CES. Mojo Vision shifted its plans to produce augmented reality contact lenses, instead opting to focus on the nearer term goal of producing micro-LED panels.

Jim Jen Bolsters and Leads CMU’s Corporate Startup Lab
A recent article published by the Jewish Healthcare Foundation features Jim Jen, who was recently named director of the Corporate Startup Lab (CSL), a joint initiative between the CMU Swartz Center and CMU's Tepper School of Business. Jim was also named a distinguished service professor of entrepreneurship, stepping down from his post as CEO at Innovation Works Inc. last February.

This partnership represents a significant milestone in Blastpoint's journey as innovators of predictive intelligence.

CMU's Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Association Hosts Founder of Z Fellows on October 23! The UEA is hosting Cory Levy, an early-stage investor and founder of Z Fellows on Monday, October 23 at 6:00 PM ET. The schedule is 10-minute office hour slots with Cory (sign-ups limited) from 6-8 PM ET and an open networking session + AMA afterward (no sign-up necessary). Follow the UEA Instagram @cmu.uea to hear about the location once it's announced.
