Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP)
Sacramento State will be implementing a new Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) on July 1, 2024, as required by California Law (SB533). This WVPP is a written plan, appended to the University’s existing Injury and Illness prevention Plan (IIPP), and it applies to all University employees, faculty, staff and student employees.
Per SB533, all employees are required to take a WVPP training course when the WVPP is implemented, and then annually thereafter, so all employees, including new employees, will be having this program added to their list of required trainings on CSU Learn beginning July 1. You will receive a separate email regarding this training.
One important element of the WVPP is to increase awareness of how to report any incidents of violence whether they involve anyone in our campus community, which includes students and the public in addition to employees.
A
Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) website has been set up on the Risk Management Page that provides the contact information copied here, as well as the entire WVPP.
