“Community Centered Growth” Is Now “Small Business Uplift”
Our Community Centered Growth pilot is getting an upgrade! Now known as Small Business Uplift, this initiative will continue to provide energy-efficient upgrades to businesses in underserved communities. We have changed the name to Small Business Uplift to align with our other energy equity programs (Home Uplift and School Uplift) and to create deeper brand recognition for our partners and customers.
TVA will continue to offer this program on a rotating basis to small businesses in designated Disadvantaged Community or Opportunity Zones pending funding availability. Interested LPCs can reach out to their Energy Services Consultant to be added to the interest list.

Fast Charge Network locations coming online across the Valley
TVA's Fast Charge Network recently welcomed Appalachian Electric Cooperative, CDE Lightband, Lawrenceburg Utility Systems and Bristol Tennessee Essential Services into the family, joining Fort Payne Improvement Authority, Warren RECC, Weakley County MES, and Cullman Electric Cooperative. That brings a total of eight commercially operational sites to the network.
CDE Lightband plugged into the Fast Charge Network on May 11th as the first location with four chargers located off I-24 in Clarksville. The ribbon-cutting was followed by an EV Ride and Drive event co-sponsored with Drive Electric TN which had a great turnout despite rain.
Bristol Tennessee Essential Services launched their four-charger location with a ribbon-cutting event on June 15th.
Additional Fast Charge Network sites are expected this summer including the first operational site in Mississippi with Pontotoc Electric Power Association and a site in Hohenwald, TN, with Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative.
Several LPCs are nearing the finish line with their projects, so stay tuned for more announcements soon!
