One Sweet Extra Week for Cookie Sales: March 25-31! |
We know some troops and Girl Scouts are finished with their season while others have asked for more time. We are listening and for those who want more time, we are pleased to offer a “One Sweet Extra Week!” The One Sweet Bonus Week will include these optional opportunities through March 31:
|
-
Troop-secured booths which will be featured in the Cookie Finder.
- Please note: our council-secured locations will not be available for additional booths during the extra week of sales.
-
Digital Cookie will be open for local delivery and online direct ship and credit card payments, including payments for donations.
- Ability to take mobile credit card payments for in-person and booth sales.
|
Girl and troop rewards will still be due on April 2 in Smart Cookies. Check out this email from March 19 for more details on this opportunity plus updated resources to use during the bonus week.
|
All council on-demand locations will be open Friday-Sunday during their regular cupboard hours for both cookie exchanges and inventory pickup. For troops that utilize a Regional Cupboard, connect with your Regional Cupboard Manager if you have any last-minute cookie needs.
As you begin to wrap up the season, it’s important to review all cupboard transfers in Smart Cookies using your Transfer Order Summary Report. Filter the report for Cupboard to Troop transfers to narrow the results to only cupboard pickups. If you notice an error between Smart Cookies and your physical inventory, or notice a transfer is missing, please complete the Cookie Cupboard Error Report form.
While cookie cupboards wrap up their schedule this weekend, select locations will have space available in the parking lot for troops looking for cookies to meet up with troops with extra inventory on March 25 & 26 from 12:00-6:00 PM. These locations include: Blaine, Columbia Heights, and Oakdale locations. The Mankato and Brooklyn Center Girl Scout Offices plus Camp Edith Mayo in Rochester may also be utilized.

Digital Cookie Online orders for Girl Scout Delivery
|
What happens if a Girl Scout receives an order for local delivery on the final days of the sale? No worries! The five-day timeframe to approve orders is still applicable. For example, if a customer orders on March 24, the order can be approved in and payment processed in Digital Cookie. If your troop has concluded their sales, instruct families to inactivate the delivery option in Digital Cookie. For troops participating in the extra week, order approvals and cookie transfers must be completed by April 2.
|
Six Steps to Wrapping Up the Cookie Sale
|
After the flurry of those final cookie booths and last-minute sales, it’s time to make sure all is good in Smart Cookies. Review the Six Steps to Wrap Up the Cookie Program to guide you through the process of closing out the cookie sale for your troop. As always, please contact your Service Unit Cookie Managers or Girl Scouts River Valleys if you have any questions. We are here for you and happy to help in any way we can. Next week, we’ll go into detail about ordering cookie rewards for both troops and girls in Smart Cookies.
|
Digital Cookie & Reward Selections
|
Girl Scout families can now make reward choices in Digital Cookie. To get started, they can login and select the My Rewards tab. From there, they can view the packages credited to their girl and make the selections for every reward level where a choice is needed between an item and a Cookie Credit:
|
It’s important to note that these selections do not transfer over to Smart Cookies. As the troop volunteer, you can login to Digital Cookie and download the Rewards Selection report to review the girl’s choices:
|
Feel free to use other options to collect reward choices from families, such as a Google Doc, email, text, or using a copy of our 2024 Cookie Reward flyer where girls can indicate their choices, then take a photo and return to you. As a reminder, reward choices are due in Smart Cookies on April 2.
|
Pump up those last weekend vibes! Remind customers that this is the last chance to stock up on cookies until 2025. Did we just say 2025? “Last Chance” displays at booths and through social media marketing are a great way to remind customers to stock up. Shipped cookie sales will also continue through March 31. Check out the last chance social images you can share with your networks too.

“Smells Like Cookie Spirit” Award Winners |
It’s another week of celebrating the awesomeness of our cookie volunteers! Check out our latest Smells Like Cookie Spirit Award winners:
Charlie Kremer: Charlie is a go-getter cookie dad and wonderful volunteer! He always goes above and beyond for our troops. He is always driving cookies around from booth to booth, counting and recounting our inventory to make sure it always matches, and is there to step in for whatever we might need him to do, always with a big smile on his face!
Kari Wohlever: Kari is a tremendous Service Unit Cookie Manager! She is informative, helpful and quick to respond to any inquiry. As a first time Troop Cookie Manager, I am very thankful for Kari’s service. She has advised on bank account management, connected us with fellow scouts on our search of Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies, and answered a myriad of other novice queries.
Winners of the "Smells Like Cookie Spirit" award will receive a prize pack of Girl Scout cookie scented body care products from Native and a big hi-five from the Product Program Team! Nominate a cookie volunteer for consideration today. All submissions will carry over each week.

Girl Scouts earn the Combo Patch for sending 17 or more emails during the 2023 Snacks & Magazines Program and selling 380 packages of cookies this season. Edits to a girl’s avatar can be made in M2OS until April 2. If earned, the patches will be sent directly to the Girl Scout’s home address this summer (July-August).
|
Cookie Program Credits & Happy Camper Coupon
|
All Cookie Credits and Juliette Program Credits are issued to Girl Scouts on a card, which will be mailed to their address on file with Girl Scouts River Valleys the week of May 27. Please share this information with families of Girl Scouts that selected Cookie Credits so they can watch their mail for the cards.
The 2024 Happy Camper Coupon at the 850-package level must be used this summer (in 2024) at one Girl Scouts River Valleys’ summer resident camp session or council-approved service unit day camp session. Maximum value is $225. Girl Scouts that select the Happy Camper coupon will be sent an electronic code to the email address of their primary caregiver on record with River Valleys in May. The “fine print” for all the rewards at the 700-package level and above can be found on the Cookie Rewards page.

Assisting Troops with End of Season Wrap Up |
With cookie season in its final days, you likely have troops that will keep on going until the end and those that are ready to wrap things up now. What can you do to help troops get ready to finalize their sale? Here’s a few tips:
|
|
|
-
Run the Troop On-Hand Inventory Report and reach out to any troop with 25+ cases in inventory to see if they need assistance with transfers or have plans to sell the remaining inventory.
-
Remind troops of the April 2 deadline for ordering rewards and share the instructions on how to order rewards in The Smart Cookies Guide for Volunteers.
- For troops with a 240+ PGA, remind them of how to order their Troop PGA rewards. You can view the Troop PGA in the Troop Balance Summary Report.
- If troops have questions about rewards at the 700+ package level, direct them to the rewards page on Cookie Central.
-
Organize a Service Unit Cookie Drive-Thru event for troops to work in shifts to sell their remaining inventory March 29-31. You can help locate a large parking lot that will allow troops to sell, create a Sign-Up Genius for troops to secure a timeslot, then help to advertise the event in the media or on social media.
-
Connect troops for cookie transfers. Do you know of a troop that has a lot of donations and another troop with a lot of leftover packages? You can help make it a win-win situation!
