| Time for Canada to Vote in the World Zionist Congress Election |
Join ARZA Canada and WRJ to vote REFORM in the World Zionist Congress election voting period running from June 5-15.
On Thursday, June 5 at 7:00pm, ARZA Canada will be holding a special event to formally launch Canada's WZC election voting period which runs June 5-15. Rabbi Hirsch will be joining in as one of the key speakers, along with Shoshana Dweck (proud NE District member) and a few Canadian rabbis. Each speaker is being asked to focus on the issue that is closest to their hearts - the WHY (why is this election important, why vote, etc.). After every couple of speakers, they will play music and share the voting link and give people time to go and vote (sort of like a telethon style event).
Encourage folks in your congregations and communities to attend. It is open to all who identify as Reform Jews, and especially, Canadian Reform Jews. Of course, our US friends are welcome to attend if they like!

Looking Ahead to
District Convention 2026 |
Are you excited about our Northeast District Convention coming in March 2026? We sure are! Our committee is working hard to plan for it. Here is how you can help: you can share the graphic below here with your sisterhood members. You could also use it as part of your signature when you send out WRJ related emails. You can download the graphic from here and share it.
|
You are also invited to join us for a special "Taste of Convention" event happening across the district this fall. Spend the day with us and see what kinds of things we do at convention. Plus, you will have an opportunity to meet with some of our Executive Board members. Can't wait to see you there.

Pride can mean many things. Joy. Protest. Vulnerability. Connection.
For many, celebrating Pride month is advocating, "Love is Love." But that is not enough to keep people safe. We also need to work toward equality and acceptance in our communities. Whether you are LGBTQ+ or an ally, there are ways you can help.

We are sharing a special event with you brought to you by Keshet, a group that works to equip Jewish organizations with the skills and knowledge to build LGBTQ+-affirming communities and work for equality in Jewish life.
This program will explore what meaningful allyship looks like within Jewish and social justice spaces, how to create truly welcoming and inclusive communities, and the current landscape of LGBTQ+ rights—including a legislative update during a pivotal month for Supreme Court decisions. The speaker will offer insight, inspiration, and action steps for standing in solidarity with LGBTQ+ Jews and families, and the increasing importance of supporting LGBTQ+ folks during this politically tumultuous time. You will leave this session with action steps you can take – both personally, and within your Jewish community – to help protect and support our LGBTQ+ friends year-round.
Register here for the June 17 event.
