BIKE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER- #7 |
Thank You, Team!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended our BSO Return Staff Training and BBQ — what an amazing turnout! It was great to reconnect, share knowledge, and kick off the season in true Bike School style.
We’re off to an incredible start this year with nearly 400 participants in our Spring Evening Programs, record numbers in Spring Club and Mini Shredders, and growing momentum in our Adult programs. Plus, DFX Dailies launches in just over a week — things are really rolling! A big shoutout to our trainers, who are working hard to put on some excellent sessions — don’t miss the chance to take part while the riding conditions are ideal!
Mark your calendars for our final BSO and official Meet & Greet BBQ for all staff happening on Friday, June 27th at Blackcomb Kids. Stay tuned for the signup — we’d love to see everyone there!
Thanks again for your energy, professionalism, and passion — it’s shaping up to be an awesome season!
See you on the trails, Sarah & Nadio

The June training calendar is up on the website with lots of great training opportunities. Calendar can be found on the Bike School website
Guest Coaches are offering some training sessions this month (purple on the calendar).
Joel Harwood, founder of Blueprint Athlete Development, is offering some great sessions that focus on advanced skill development with minimal terrain. These immersive workshops are collaborative and aim to equip staff with practical tools, renewed creativity and a greater adaptability in their coaching practice.
Jake Johnstone from The Mind Mountain, is offering 4 Mental Strategy Workshops (MSW) that will equip coaches with practical mental tools to ride, teach and lead with more confidence, awareness and long-term sustainability – addressing the root mental and emotional factors that contribute to preventable injuries and mental burnout before they happen. (These sessions will start with a MSW in the calendar)
Evening Sessions are coming soon. Finalizing schedules with trainers to offer Yoga, Strength & Conditioning, Cognitive, Mechanic and Assessment & Development sessions. Check the training calendar for the latest updates.
Coming soon, a Women’s Only training session on Friday mornings. Working title is Women’s Training Fridays and will offer a Chill-Her and Thrill-Her option. Check the training calendar for session dates.

Some great resources are available, including the new Skills Progression Booklet which is a living document which was born, and will grow from coach's input. If you have any questions http://www.wbsnowandbikeschool.ca is your one-stop shop for the answers. Everything from perks and pro-deals, to pay and scheduling can be found here. Check it out.
